First Session Guide
Whether you’re brand new to martial arts or looking to get back on the mats, here’s everything you need to know for your first session
Which class can I choose for my first session?
All of our classes are beginner friendly. You can simply give us a quick message on +447919554117 or email info@haltonmma.com and let us know which class you'd like to attend so we know when to expect you. Or you can always just drop in (Ideally 10 mins before the session so we can be introduced).
How does the first session usually look?
You can drop us a message when you are close by or simply walk in and introduce yourself to one of our friendly coaches or members who will point you in the right direction. You can then expect the following from the session:

Meet the coaches and get a quick tour of the gym

Warm-up together with the group

Learn beginner-friendly techniques step by step

Buddy up with one of our friendly members/coaches

Train at your own pace, no pressure

Finish with a cool down and Q&A
What should I bring?

Comfortable gym clothes (shorts/leggings, T-shirt)

Water bottle
-
Flip-flops for walking off the mats

(Optional) Mouthguard when comfortable live training

If Gi BJJ: we’ll provide a loaner Gi for your first class
Do I need experience or fitness?
Not at all. Most people who join us are complete beginners. Our coaches will guide you, and you’ll build fitness naturally through training.
